24 - Not very good
Did anyone watch the 22-hours-short version of 24 last night? Seemed like a sponsor-filled version of a two hour teaser for next season. None of the usual suspense, all of the now-tired plot devices (okay, Jack is super fighter, then he gets captured, then he get tortured, then he gets away...haven't we seen that enough times?), a relatively uninteresting set of new characters. Very disappointing.

Prices falling fast!
Gas prices are falling so fast that the stations can't keep up. Road and pump signs showed $2.05/gal, pump was $1.99.

Just heard radio ad for new web site offered by power company.
It said...and I'm quoting..."just click on the map to see if your power is out."
Does anyone else see the irony?

"Free" wifi
You'd figure that in Palo Alto, you could get free wifi anywhere. True, and not true. Sure, I power up and find 10 different networks...but they are all slow, slow, slow.
